We’re joined by our adversaries
On this gangplank we stand on bare feet
Our features the usual sweaty & dark
A variety of swollen bellies & rigid muscles
Bourne out of climbing up & down these hills
Just to pay our tribute full of charm & praise
To the gods whose customs are steeped in our obedience
To the gods who have watched over our women & children
Whose well being is a statute of our culture
A ceremony to our spirits when happiness is defined by laughter.
It’s why we are here today on the gangplank with our adversaries
To match with our opponents and endure through the scourge
Whose pattern has brought misfortune & anguish
And today is the day that moulds our future
We look to the skies as time goes by
We sure have come a long way of struggle
Through a maze of bitter & dark days 
Counting time with the number of our ancestors
Whose legacy will never disappoint a black child
A heritage & ceremonies that’ll never sacrifice the innocent
Our legend is spawned in the clefts of snowy mountain tops
Fortresses of definite divination
And there our kingdoms are found
Custodians who guard against the defiling of a virgin land
Through epic battles that threatened a centuries old renaissance
But look up now we’re standing 
And watch the skies as time goes by
Sweating in the sun & never back down
And reverse the molestation that strips & devaluates 
This now is the moment that lasts forever 
As we take our attention to the skies 
Beside our equals
